Margaret Chou, PhD

Dr. Chou is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Trained at Rockefeller University and Harvard Medical School in molecular oncology and cancer cell biology, her research focuses on elucidating the pathogenic mechanisms underlying bone and soft tissue tumors, which disproportionately affect the pediatric population. Recent efforts have been aimed at dissection and modulation of the tumor immune microenvironment for therapeutic benefit. Dr. Chou is co-inventor of the USP6 mRNA cancer immunotherapeutic technology being developed by Merlin Biotech.
